Today i want to talk about a word..............a taboo word.......ACCOUNTABILITY😳

This is something that is in full swing in all aspects of our life. From work to family we are accountable for a lot of stuff and we get it right most of the time. Yet, when people talk about and consider health and well-being it goes out the window and we blame a lot of outside factors for not getting results.

I'm too tired to train today. Why? Because you're not getting enough sleep! 😴😴Why? Because your on Netflix all night!!!!!

I'm constantly hungry. Why? Because you're eating empty calories from processed foods!🍕🍟

Now these 2 tie in very closely. We know that lack of sleep leads to overeating as our appetite hormones don't work well when we don't sleep. Ghrelin (hormone that tells us we are hungry) works in overdrive and Leptin (our satiety hormone) doesn't work properly. They also don't work on a diet of processed foods.

I'm stressed. Yeah I know, we all are. It's called life and unfortunately with life comes stress. 😟

"You can't control what happens to you but you can control how you feel about it"

This statement is true on so many levels. Yes, bad/stressful stuff happens to all of us at some stage. It's how we deal with it that matters. You an either let it consume you and get into a rut where you can find no way out and you find solace in a never ending supply of chocolate and alcohol or you can say f*** it, it's happened, I can't control it but I'll not react to it. Exercise is one of the most powerful ways to release endorphins (feel good hormones) and a fantastic side affect is looking and feeling good 😁

So, Stop focusing on the why (why did this happen) and start focusing on the what (what can I do to change). You will find that once you put your mind to it, it's not that difficult to change; It's all about ACCOUNTABILITY🥳
