You are what you eat
Wanna get lean and look good in that bikini, shorts, snappy suit or favourite dress? The bottom line is you need to cut out, or at least cut back on sugar.
We all try to cut back on desserts and other sweet treats but food makers have gotten sneaky and are adding sugar to nearly every product (note i didn't say food) and in ways you'd never expect.
We know its added to pasta sauce, marinades, cereals, crackers, almond and other milk alternatives but its also added to other regular food products like fruit juice, granola, yoghurt, a lot of low-fat foods and protein bars. Add to that all the processed carbs that we consume regularly and you have a major sugar overdose.
Though not a complete list, here are some of the ways that manufacturers label sugar in your foods.
Fructose, glucose, sucrose, aspartame, corn syrup, agave, beet sugar, molasses, fruit juice concentrate, barley malt, brown rice syrup, dextrose, maltodextrin, ethyl maltol, maltose and galactose!
The bottom line is, if you want to take control of your health and your waistline, it's time to start reading food labels
