Food prep, is it really as difficult as you think?

Food seems to be the main thing that people fall down with on their journey. They get to the gym regularly and train well but often find themselves with no prep work done food wise and end up grabbing something that isn't ideal.

When asked about food prep often the answer is, “I’ve no time”. this isn't an excuse in a lot of cases, just a lack of knowledge on just how easy it is to do.

Do you know that boiled eggs keep in the fridge for about 5 days? There's your work week of breakfasts covered.

That cooking food in bulk is quicker and cheaper and keeps in the freezer for over a month? Most workplaces have microwaves so taking out a box from the freezer the night before and bringing it into work not only keeps you eating well but saves a ton of money, and you know you will like the food!

When it comes to what to make keep it simple. Chop up loads of bell peppers and red onions. Pan fry some chopped up chicken fillets and add peppers and onions. Add seasoning of your choice (I love fajita or franks hot sauce). When cooked, let cool, transfer to some boxes and freeze. Take out as required and de-frost overnight. When heating, sprinkle some grated cheese over it and you've got a tasty, healthy lunch.

So keep it simple, don't over think it and you'll find it's a lot easier than you think!
